Colton participated in the Kidsports soccer and baseball programs last year and loved them. We didn't keep any OFFICIAL scores for the soccer games but let's just say they didn't loose many games, if any. Team "Ireland" went on to win the round robin tournament at season end.

A big thank you to coach Darryl Erb, who's mentoring was invaluable. And thanks to all the parents that came out to support the team.

Edgewood Elementary School parents - send me your pictures and I'll post them here.

Here's information about the upcoming season Third and Fourth Grade 8 vs. 8 Soccer. Registration deadline is August 17th, 2008.

In the 3rd-4th grades, KIDSPORTS offers soccer with eight players per side. The 8 vs. 8 soccer game continues to provide the many advantages of small sided soccer while introducing participants to a bigger field with more players. This serves as an excellent transition to our competitive Klassic Soccer league. The season consists of seven games and a Jamboree on Sept. 22 in which teams will play two mini-games. Teams also have the option of entering the post-season soccer cup.

For those not familiar with this excellent program, here's a link to the website and more info about the organization.
